Called to Mission
being and making disciples
We envision a city where everyone has seen the transforming power of Jesus. Extending gospel hope and wholeness in the Oldest City requires more than any one person or any one church, but it certainly includes each one of us. We want to see the grace of God radiate out to those who don't know Jesus as we work with those who do know Jesus locally and globally. In this way, others will see the transforming power of Jesus.
As those who have been reconciled to God by faith in Christ Jesus, our mission is to hold out that same grace, love, mercy, and peace to others, calling them into a new life of shaped by the Bible - a life full of community and sacrificial service, fueled by the resurrection power of the holy Spirit, for the glory of the Father (2 Corinthians 5:14-21).
Why? Jesus came to rescue, renew, and restore the creation (which includes us!) to the Father, making peace by the blood of his cross (Colossians 1:19-20). Just as the Father sent the Son, so too he sends us for the purpose of seeing all people and all creation reconciled to the Father through the Son by the power of His Spirit.
