Haiti ... just the mention of it can leave you scratching your head. Iit seems that this small, half-island nation (it's the west half of Hispaniola, Dominican Republic is the east half) has been a black hole of resources. I mean, every believer I've known has either been to Haiti for a short term trip or their church is active in some support ministry in Haiti.

May you quit scratching your head and may the Lord pierce your heart (that's sort of a benedictory blessing). The "rumors" of kids eating dirt cookies circulated the internest last autumn. It hit the national evening news a couple of weeks ago. Check out Vision of Hope Ministries

, for whom we recently took an offering that some of the people might eat rice and beans instead of dirt cookies. Henoc Lucien, pastor and church planter with VOHM, is a gifted and called and graced man. Glen Schreiber, our "district guy", is also on the board.

May Vision of Hope, and all the other servants of Christ in Haiti, continue to feed hungry bodies and feed the starving souls of the Haitian people on the food that lasts and satisfies: Jesus Christ.
