Our Goal: To labor in knowing and doing everything Scripture says about prayer.
Bible Verse & Quote on Prayer
“When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” (Matthew 6:6)
“Prayer is the open admission that without Christ we can do nothing. And prayer is the turning away from ourselves to God in the confidence that He will provide the help we need. Prayer humbles us as needy and exalts God as wealthy.” - John Piper
Congregational Bible Prayer
From the Book of Common Prayer
“Almighty and Everlasting God, who is always more ready to hear our prayer than we are to pray, and desires to give more than either we desire or deserve: grant us the abundance of thy mercy, forgiving us for the ways in which we have sinned against you and others, and giving us the blessings of your grace which we are not worthy to ask but through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”
Bible Prayer Story (2 Kings 5:1-14)
“Elisha sent a messenger to Naaman, saying, “Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored, and you shall be clean.” . . . So he went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the word of the man of God, and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.” (2 Kings 5:10, 14)
Doing what the Lord asks of us often seems foolish and inconvenient and challenges our pride, but it is only through Christ and his word that we can be healed and made whole.
Prayer for the Nations
Lord, we pray for your Church in Europe, asking that by your grace the “eyes of their hearts would be enlightened, that they may know what is the hope to which Christ has called them and what are the riches of his glorious inheritance.” (Ephesians 1:18). To this end, we pray for:
Serbia (President Vučić)
Father, heal and redeem the Serbian people. Move this nation to turn from it’s warmongering, hyper-nationalism, and ethno-religious hatred and to place the hearts and identity of the Serbian people in your hands.
Slovakia (President Kiska)
Holy Spirit, we pray that Slovakians would find hope in you in the midst of widespread hopelessness and depression. Inject new life into the Catholic, Lutheran, and Reformed Slovakian churches to help them accomplish their ambitious church planting goals.
Slovenia (President Pahor)
Jesus, we pray that and Evangelical Alliance be formed in Slovenia, and that the few dozen churches would begin to support their pastors financially and raise up church planters to go to the unreached Slovenians.
Spain & Catalonia (King Felipe VI & President Torra)
Lord, we ask you to free Spain from it’s bondage to drugs, gambling, prostitution, abortion, and sexual immorality. We pray also for peaceful resolve as the Catalonian people seeks independence from Spain.
Sweden (Prime Minister Löfven)
Father, bring a new awakening to the truth & freedom of your gospel in this spiritually struggling, postmodern nation that openly opposes Christianity. Raise up great Christian minds from Sweden’s church.
Switzerland (President Maurer)
Holy Spirit, continue to unite Swiss churches in leading this nation to turn from Eastern religions and the occult, so that they may once again be drawn to your Word and find the true Way in Jesus.
Ukraine (President Poroshenko)
Jesus, we praise you for the sustained growth of evangelicalism and the work of the Ukrainian missions agencies. May this work bring righteousness, justice, and compassion to every person in the post-Communism nation.
United Kingdom (Queen Elizabeth II)
Lord, bring revival to the UK and her churches. Win the hearts of England through faithful and effective evangelism; bring peace and unity to & through Christ to Northern Ireland, where the idea of unity often divides and creates conflict; guide the Church of Scotland back to its Biblical roots; raise up Wales to once again be a blessing to all peoples.

Gene and Susan Coleman (serving with TEAM in Italy)

Coquina Missional Communities
Command of Christ
“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’ But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment . . . So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.” (Matthew 5:21-24)
Confession for Forgiveness
“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven.” (Luke 6:37)
“Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.” (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17)
