Our Goal: To labor in knowing and doing everything Scripture says about prayer.
Bible Verse & Quote on Prayer
“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.” (Philippians 1:3-5)
“Jesus Christ carries on intercession for us in heaven; the Holy Ghost carries on intercession in us on earth; and we the saints have to carry on intercession for all men.” - Oswald Chambers

A Prayer from Psalm 94
“Blessed is the man whom you discipline, O Lord,
and whom you teach out of your law,
to give him rest from days of trouble, until a pit is dug for the wicked.
For the Lord will not forsake his people; he will not abandon his heritage;
for justice will return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it.
If the Lord had not been my help,
my soul would soon have lived in the land of silence.
When I thought, “My foot slips,” your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.
When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.
The Lord has become my stronghold, and my God the rock of my refuge.”
Bible Prayer Story
“When Jehoshaphat had taken counsel with the people, he appointed those who were to sing to the Lord and praise him in holy attire, as they went before the army, and say, “Give thanks to the Lord, for his steadfast love endures forever.” And when they began to sing and praise, the Lord set an ambush against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah, so that they were routed.”
(2 Chronicles 20:21-22)
Trusting God and resting in Christ means praising him in the middle of the battle, not just at its outcome.
Prayer for the Nations
Lord, we pray for your Church in the Caribbean, that you would encourage them and reveal to them “the immeasurable greatness of your power toward those who believe” (Ephesians 1:19). To this end, we pray for:
Anguilla (Chief Minister Banks)
Father, we pray that you would stir up a Spirit-filled renewal of the church in Anguilla that would send ripple effects through the entire Caribbean.
Antigua & Barbuda (Governor-General Williams)
Holy Spirit, we pray for revival that would spur this nominal Christian island toward prayer and gospel-minded mission.
Aruba (Governor Boekhoudt)
Jesus,, we pray that gospel change would be prevalent among the local church of Aruba as well as within the Asian immigrants that are beginning to alter the religious landscape of this island.
Bahamas (Governor-General Pindling)
Lord, that you for your presence and influence in the Bahamas. Guard these peoples’ hearts from the rampant materialism that their tourism-driven economy imposes.

Holy Spirit, remind the Christians of these islands of the gospel and give them a Biblical vision to love the lost, tourists, and illegal immigrants.
Cayman Islands (Governor Roper)
Jesus, use the Cayman Islands wealth for your Kingdom, so that your church here may be a gracious witness to the world.
Cuba (President Díaz-Canel)
Lord, thank you for the healthy growth of your church in Cuba under oppressive government regimes. Continue the work of multiplication among your disciples in the Cuban church.

He only is my rock and my salvation,
